The 'spirit loss' is my fault. I fully take the blame. But by "bribe" I meant registering the software to get us started — not hardcore cash. — hartnell

Hartnel, i admire and respect your will to do so much and in so small time but i still think you should not hurry as much as possible. GDN has grown in spped that i havent seen ever, and trust me when i say that i have seen heck of a lot's of websites in my life.

Let site grow up with volunteer work, in speed as it grows. If you boost it up with hard core cash, i fier that exactly that point of time, GDN kind of lost's over half of it's spirit you know?

E.K.Virtanen
www.ascii-world.com

Actually, one of the parts of the plan is to "liberate GDN members from drudge work so that their full talents can be applied to GDN projects." (Sorry Link, can't liberate you from school.) But that's a long way off - 3 to 6 months before the first liberation? :) (seriously).

But yeah, all I would ask is the normal time you would spend at GDN.

Lol, I just realized that my bribe is nothing compared to what I just laid out in the first paragraph. I'll write out the initial working plan and see what everyone thinks.

But to keep speculation down, I'm considering the future of GDN and the sheer talent our members. GDN is going to explode very soon and I've had to think about employment issues. I've decided (not a hard decision) that I want to share not employ. This is fairly obvious from how I've been talking about GDN. The only issue is how to bring GDN up to a level where we can begin the liberation. That's my master plan. I just need us on the same page at the same time.

— hartnell

Due to a bunch of fortunate events all happening at the same time, GDN now temporarily has some money to play with. I'm not going to say how much it is, but I will say it is in the 3 digit range :) 100 to 999 USD (don't think big :) ). The way things are growing, I'm hoping to continue to have a budget to play with — for getting registered software for members, etc — but for now, consider this finite.

So, in the name of progress — and to help ensure that GDN continues to have a budget — who's willing to take a bribe? :)

—hartnell
