is it true that GDN is only on trial period? if you dont register then where is GSN going? or can you just start a new trial period with all of the saved pages from this one and just change the url references? i thought wikidot was free…. shows how much i know!!! how much is it to register a site? and is there bandwidth limits? also is there any FTP or max file upload? and last (but not least) the forums??? are they gonna "repossess" these also???

Yes, I was referring to PlayBasic. I've always wanted to do something with PlayBasic so I asked the developer for a free copy. In the biz, if you're not giving out free copies to the press, you say, "Sorry, we don't do this. Thank you for your interest though." Instead he acted like a leprechaun who thought I was coming to steal his gold. You can read the whole story on the PlayBasic bullsheet.

Had he given a polite no, I would have saved alot of time and headaches. I've spent my own money to register PlayBasic, and he's still acting like a little kid. So my support of PlayBasic will most likely be "in vacuum", meaning with no inside news or heads up from the assh… I mean developer.

its a shame that they forgot that they were a noob once (whether they learned to program in college, or like i am) and had to ask for help. The thing the d*ldo doesnt understand is that by giving you a free copy that would guarantee a few more sales of the product! as it is i will never even consider using the software, but if i hadn't heard that they were aholes and you told me that it was a good software i would consider pirating…..er purchasing a copy of it! so its their loss so i repeat "f* them!!!"

lol, it's not that he wasn't willing to give me a press-pass copy, it's that he was insulting while he wasted my time in refusing. But yeah, PB rocks. BTW, we have a strict anti-piracy policy here at GDN. :) -hartnell

yeah that kinda slipped, yes kids pirating copyright software is illegal and immorral, and if you do it (especially console roms) then Satin will eat your babies.
