This is NOT a written proposal.
As everyone knows by now, GDN is becoming a very large network. So, I'm opening discussion about policies concerning adminship and "ad rights" on network sites. Specifically, I'd like to discuss these elements :
Ad Rights
A project admin has the right to display, or not to display, ads on their wiki, so long as they are admin.
Adminship
Here's where I have some undecided issues. I wrote a plan for wikidot as a whole awhile back where "Flagship" sites would be owned by the network, however, the head admin would receive the ad benefits. This way if an admin needs to move on, go to another project, or just disappears it doesn't screw the network as it can assign another admin to the project. Rules for this need to be clearly defined.
Network Identification
I have two ways of "Network Identification" planned. One is the gdn-standard theme you've been seeing at Game Maker, Game Software, and Brutus2D. The second is a simple link in the sidebar that says "Part of X network".
Network Name
We really need to decide on a network name.
