Glad to hear it. However, I hate to say it, but please don't post your game here. We'd pee our pants to a new member using Blitz (u9 has proven good with it before), but we don't allow ripped sprites or sprites based on copyrighted properties here.
With the virtual consoles and major game companies getting involved in the game creation hobby, the backlash for using these kinds of sprites is coming — and it's going to be severe. I'm trying to make sure that when their lawyers burn through thousands of websites, GDN remains untouched.
I realize this policy leaves the average game programmer without sprites, but were working on creating our own sprites, which you can see in our Sprite Art section.
For a good starter project, how about trying pong? On that page you will find pseudo-code and I've just added the sprite sheet we used for our research.
