My thoughts on the languages we teach right now is, they aren't really all that professional at all, you won't walk into a company and hand them a resigme saying you've been a B4GL programmer for 2 years would you? Maybe we should try putting up a C++ section, right now it seems all the c++ tutorials and OpenGL/DirectX are outdated, and it's nearly impossible to even get set up with those two. Maybe we just use Allegro, and when we get enough tutorials on basic C++ and Allegro we could move into either OpenGL or DirectX, maybe even eventually both.
I wouldn't call this a proposal on the basis that in the very first one outlining what makes a proposal, it says something that changes GDN's rules and how it is governed. But treat it as such, I'd even call it a MadMan Proposal.
Just read the Big News topic, about how we're spread too thin, if we decide to ever do this, then it would be better later on, and to at least keep this as a base for the section in the coming months?
