Over the last couple of days, I've been thinking about what the drop-in said. Essentially what is said is "You're good, but you suck." Mainly because we are "spread too thin." I think he's right. We need to get something done in at least one language. The only question is, which one?
I've weighed the pros and cons and I've come up with these three :
I'll leave it up to you. This is what will happen when you choose each :
Basic4GL : Tom hasn't PMed me, so I'll get ahold of him to resolve the GDN / B4GL joint project — is it dead or not? Once that's resolved, we can work with whatever the outcome is.
Brutus2D : Brutus2D's support of JScript is pure genius, however B2D's JScript support has some bugs. I'll talk to guilect about getting them resolved.
PlayBasic : Now that I'm no longer "issuing hot air from my anus" and actually have written some tutorials, including a relatively successful, if incomplete 2D Physics book using PB, Kevin may be more receptive to giving free copies to GDN members. I'll ask him (with a helmet on). If he does, great. If not, we'll have to choose something else as it still has a demo.
thinBasic : We just download tb, thinAir, and go.
The power of decision is yours. I'm stuck on what to choose.
