I'm a bit stuck on the new Beginner's guide. Any ideas? —hartnell
Is the Beginner's Guide supposed to be an Encyclopedia of Game Information or a collection of lessons for Beginners?
The Beginner's Guide is a quick start guide. How to choose a language, things you should know about every game programming tool, simple explanations of how to use the wiki, etc. —hartnell
Getting the Explanations of the different roles played in game development should be simple.
You can link to relevant pages on Wikipedia or just copy some of the information from the following pages.
For how to choose a language, I think you should set it out in terms of what the reader may specifically want to do, e.g. "Want to start writing 3D games quickly? Try Basic4GL!" and so on.
As for what GDN is, well, you should have an easy time doing that. :P
