damn, hartnell!… if you had written "competition" instead of compo i would have found this thread hours ago… (well ok i only wasted 10minutes but still)… i have added "compo" to the List of annoying words and phrases. (actually i haven't :P)
I wanted to use the sprites for a small competition i'm going to do with my friends :) Something along the lines of "how good a game can you make in x hours" or something like that. If anyone's interested you're welcome to join :) I'll write up some rules sometime next week. But they will be something like this:
- Use this sprite-sheet
- Run on linux and windows (some of my friends only use linux)
- Use max x hours to develop
- Maybe something else i can't think of right now :D
The games are scored by all the participants. (That's why the run-on-linux rule… but maybe i'll drop that rule)
Whew! I had almost forgotten about this. This was a competition between me and Link and I had even forgotten that I had named the sprite sheet "Don't Let Me Eat My Sister", which explains (some of) the strange organic searches that we've been getting. The sprite sheet was for my game, Link did his own sprites, which became Defence! (I hate the spelling.)
The name came from one of those cannibalistic "survivor" movies based on a "true" story. When the survivors of the airplane faced certain death or cannibalism, one of the main characters said "Just don't let me eat my sister, man…" This phrase has seemed strange to me since I first heard it because it implies that it is ok for someone else to eat his sister. :)
Anyway, the sprite sheet was left uncompleted. Are you saying that you want it? I can see some things, such as the glowing orb on top of the turret needs to be cleaned up and some bullets drawn, that need to be finished.

It would be great if you would finish it, but only if it's no hassle. At first i was thinking that it was buildings i was looking at, but now i think it is tombstones… right? If so, what are the blue "silos" ?
