It seems like the article is a heading, a line of text, a heading, a line of text… The headings seem to fit better as a bullet list of points to do to achieve the fade effect. Is there any way of restructuring this? E.g. the dim fadeTo and fadeTo = 0 i think could be in the same block of code which would remove one heading. Also, an explanation of actually how this will be done before doing it also might help the quality of the article. Any thoughts? I can also try some improvements myself if you don't mind, but this will not be until maybe a month becuase of school :S One could also add other fading-functions to the fade effect, e.g. instead of just linearly increasing the alpha value one could use a logarithmic function etc.
