I've tried them both, and this far it seems that DB Pro is a lot inferior to DB.

I have to agree, if DBPro is anything like DB. I got an old DB demo to work. It's great. —hartnell

Not sure, I don't know if you need to activate the trial. Torrents help ;), but its up to you, I don't condone ;) that sort of thing, but you can always go buy it afterwards if you end up using it alot.
It a very easy language to learn, but it is mainly for 3d stuff, it actually does most 3d instructions quicker than most of the 2d ones, but 2d is still very fast and capable. The Blitz products, I would say are a lot faster and the documentation is great, but the syntax is very difficult to get used to if you have used another type of BASIC before. Basically, I would avoid Blitz products and go for Dark Basic PRO.

I had an old copy of the recent DarkBASIC Pro, however, I can't get it to activate. It can't find the server used to activate the trial. Is this normal? —hartnell
