It will be important that this remains the central hub. Non-programming specific questions must be posted here.

I can't get it to work correctly. And even if there we did use it that way, the text would still have to explain it in terms of each specific programming language. It could be useful for snippets like the comparison of gravity in various languages.

But, here's what would change for you : Almost nothing! :) You already help out with the b2d section, it would just be at b2d.wikidot.com. The admins of each wiki (us) would remain here as we always have. You'd have your own noobs though. :) —hartnell

I've been thinking about it. I had my birthday the 4th so i have been a bit busy this week :) But I'm not sure what the purpose of a guild is (stupid as it might sound. I've never been in a guild). Also i am worried that it might be too much work then i can handle, with school, my 2 jobs and everything… so this is what stress feels like ;)

There is another thing that is using all my neurons right now… with the new tool i kinda get the feeling it is the solution to "all our problems." I think the tool is an excellent way to really combine all the languages one wants. Tutorials on how to display graphics, read input, etc. maybe can't be combined with this tool as many languages are so radically different from each other, but when showing how to make e.g. pong, and the other small games, i think it is excellent. The same pseudo code can be demonstrated with real code for any language one wants to add.

I kinda like this idea more then the spokes-wiki idea. Any thoughts?

I wish u9 would have said something. Hope he's ok. And I wish some of our older members could be a part this (RC and Mystic, even Woad.) I'm going to begin by running analytics on GDN. Whew. :) —hartnell

I'm not a regular but i too think the guild concept is a good idea, and if somebody could promote it, that's probably hartnell seeing he's as active as a wikidot member can get.

Yeah, sounds interesting. I guess I could do some stuff on Flash, and at least from what I know it's a bit hard to find game-specialised AS tutorials anyway (although then again I haven't searched much :P).

I'm introducing the concept of guilds into wikidot. Guilds are groups of administrators of similar websites. I'd like the members of GDN to consider being the founders of the Game Dev Guild. This would mean that everyone would have their own wiki, with their own ads if they so choose.

For starters, I'd like to suggest that matt take the b4gl wiki and u9 take the brutus2d. I may ask Imortis to take the FB. I will take PB and GM, and when Link has time, he may be interested in some kind of flash wiki.

Please consider it and post your thoughts.

—hartnell
