Very often when i am surfing around here, or when i've looked at e.g. Transformers, Games.wikidot.com etc. i find myself reading about something, e.g. a game, without any kind of screen-shot. I think images would really be in it's place sometimes, both of screen-shots, but certainly also when explaining some concept. Let's face it, sometimes a picture says a thousand words.

For example on these pages it would be nice to have an image or illustration:

Yar's Revenge

Yar's Revenge

And just info pages like

Platform Game

Double Jump

Slide Control

Any thoughts?

I was thinking, it would be nice if we could attach files to some of the pages. Especially those that require images or other media.

It would also be nice if we could attach files to forum posts so we didn't have to go out and find some file-upload service. It would also be nice to not have to post the entire code of some program :) How long do these file-upload services keep the files btw?

I finally got into that "Well, I may as well do something." mood, and created a number of new pages for the explanations of what some of the B4GL commands do. Afterwards, I looked at some of the others, and noticed that mine aren't in the "Description, Example" format like the others, hope that's not too big a deal.

Woad's edit to the Basic4GL section made me realize how easy it would be to completely farksnuker B4GL in our new "solution based format". So that's exactly what I'm going to do. And, to make it easier, we have two of the greatest B4GL programmers in existence to ask questions during the process (Link and Matt-gl). Anyone else in?

—hartnell

I created this thread for Shifty Commander. If you have any questions, ask them here and I'll help you with any problem you have. This is a trial. If you do well, I'll assign you as the head madman over the Game Maker project. —hartnell

PS. The docs are horribly out of date. There's little info about GM 7.0 and what may have changed.

Well, there are no other madmen. Just me. So, nonexistent madmen, lend me your ears! Should the Madmen be disbanded as Black Ops was before it? Has the lack of interest finally broken the Madmen?

-hartnell

Well, I guess it's my fault, but I've decided I can't do it all. I'm only going to be working on a few projects from now on. They are :

Brutus2D
FreeBASIC
BasicCode
Sprite Art
RPG Design (a bit here and there)

And that's it.

We need madmen for everything else.

-hartnell
