ok here is my problem if u would like to help,

i had game maker 7 pro, but for some reason my computer isn't letting me use it anymore which means i can't finish this project anymore because i need pro to finish, but the funny thing is that it would load game maker 7 lite instead, and when i try getting pro it just does it all over again.

any help?

btw i'm new here, so nice to meet u all

Great work with game programming and programming languages here. Lot's of neat languages has page with good information.
How about to add websites too? There is game making/programming websites, should we add those too at wiki?

The Bribe and The Plea

In the blog, I posted about the coming whirlwind. Here's a shot of what it looks like :

This is a shot from the stats of the newly revived Game Maker project. This chart does not represent page views, but unique visitors. Yesterday, the GM project alone had nearly 400 unique visitors. So here's the bribe, and my plea.

The bribe : For those who have windows (even vista) and have even a little time, I am willing to register Game Maker 7 for you. This is an authentic registration that costs money. :)

The plea : While I'm transferring everything, I can't handle the GM project by myself. I need help in building the wiki and I need help building the wiki community as no one will post on an empty forum.

I realize that everyone wants to work on their specialties, however, I believe that the GM project is the first one that will hit "critical popularity" and thus we can use it as a bootstrap to get the other projects going.

Please. :) Consider this begging. :)

Game Design Bribery

Due to a bunch of fortunate events all happening at the same time, GDN now temporarily has some money to play with. I'm not going to say how much it is, but I will say it is in the 3 digit range :) 100 to 999 USD (don't think big :) ). The way things are growing, I'm hoping to continue to have a budget to play with — for getting registered software for members, etc — but for now, consider this finite.

So, in the name of progress — and to help ensure that GDN continues to have a budget — who's willing to take a bribe? :)

What you think about adding it to GDN? Article shows that game dont need to be so newkind, huge and different to become as legend? After all, Trek73 was just a simple text game…it just did grow as a huge and one of most ported games ever because peoples liked its simple concept.
