Core Programming Guide

What is Core Programming?

Core Programming is the fundamental level of programming knowledge. No matter what programming language you use, or what you are programming with it, you will be using core programming concepts. Later, when you move on to programming games, you will use core programming concepts to make your game. The only thing that changes between core programming and game programming is the end goal — to make a game.

Why Learn to Program?

To Make a Good Game

If you ever want to create a good game, you are going to have to learn to program. There are some "game makers" that promise that they can allow you to "make games without writing a single line of code," but this claim is not completely true. It's true that you can make a game without programming, however, time has proven that none of these "game makers" allow you to make a good game without programming.
